Now Outlook complains every time it does a Send/Receive:

You do not have permission to view this Sharepoint List (Integration and Deployment Support Practice Site – Tasks). Contact the SharePoint site administrator. HTTP 302.

The error code is: 0x80070005.

The first thing I found is a page on Outlook and SharePoint Integration. It says to find SharePoints Lists and delete the folder. I did that (the name) and I still get the error.

Some people in a forum say to delete and recreate the OST file. That is the nuclear option. I’ll contact the site admin first.

Third possibility by looking for “0x80070005 outlook” lead me to the solution:

Task ‘SharePoint’ reported error (0x80070005) : ‘You do not have permission to view this SharePoint List (The Freedom Project – calendar). Contact the SharePoint site administrator. HTTP 401.’

Go to Tools, Account settings and look at the Subscribed calendar list – is it listed? If so, delete it.

(Tools is available in earlier versions not 2010.)

The solution appears to be:

1. File tab.
2. Account Settings button in center.
3. Account Settings in drop down menu. (Not an accidental repeat.)
4. SharePoint Lists tab.
5. Click on the offending item.
6. Click Remove.

Test by hitting Send/Receive. Error should go away.

If I understand right, at some point I wanted to track tasks in a site. That added something to Exchange in my account for this SharePoint List. Outlook picked up from Exchange about this subscription and added it to my local profile. When the SharePoint site was deleted, Outlook hitting SharePoint could no longer find it, causing the error. So the solution tells Outlook to stop looking for the site. (Hopefully it updates Exchange too.)
