“The sorry state of security on the Internet is only going to get worse unless governments, enterprises and home users make a conscious decision to move away from their addiction to Microsoft Corp.’s software, according to a new report from a group of renowned security experts.” (eWeek)
Q: Who is this group?
A: Computer and Communications Industry Association http://www.ccianet.org/index.php3
Q: Who are the members?
A: Lots of companies, but here are some big names… AOL, Sun, Oracle, and Yahoo.
Okay, so the CCIA says people are too reliant on Microsoft for software and services. Well, where might people turn? AOL, Sun, Oracle, and Yahoo.
Seems a little biased. This is like Pepsi saying, “People rely too much on drinking Coke. They need to consider alternatives.”
