A work news post noting\u00c2\u00a0Atlanta tech blogs was strange to me. There is plenty\u00c2\u00a0<strong>HERE<\/strong>. Why ignore all the great local stuff?<\/p>\n<p>And I do not mean my\u00c2\u00a0blog. I post too infrequently to really matter and mostly ignore technology of late.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fourathens.com\/blog-1\/\">Four Athens<\/a> is a technology incubator here in Athens. They organize networking events and have a good calendar of various tech meetings happening here. (<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/fourathens\">Twitter<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.freeitathens.org\/\">Free IT Athens<\/a> is a local volunteer organization who help re-use computers and free software for the needy. They recently brought Richard Stallman here. (<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/freeitathens\">Twitter<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/getvitaminc.com\/blog\">Vitamin C<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0makes healthcare software. (<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GetVitaminC\">Twitter<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.accidentalcio.com\">The Accidental CIO<\/a> is run by the Chief Information Officer for UGA. Work is related to UGA, but not part of their organizational structure. Tim has a seat on the search committee for our replacement CIO because, well, who we select is critically important to UGA. (<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/accidentalcio\">Twitter<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/hatchathens.com\/#BLOG\">The Hatch<\/a> is an Athens makerspace. (<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/HatchAthens\">Twitter<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/mark.the-fennells.org\/\">Mark Fennell<\/a> is an Athens DBA \/ web developer. (<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/mfdba\">Twitter<\/a>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If there is something IT-related going on in Athens, then these two are probably writing about it.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/glennstovall.com\/blog\/\">Glenn Stovall<\/a> is an Athens freelance developer who writes about both tech and running a business. (<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GSto\">Twitter<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/smithellis.com\/\">Smith Ellis<\/a> is a UGA web developer. (<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/smith_ellis\">Twitter<\/a>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Blogs are like so 2000s. They are sunsetting as the readers spend more time on Facebook and Twitter.\u00c2\u00a0All\u00c2\u00a0of you probably noticed I put links to the Twitter feeds for those blogs. That&#8217;s because much of the conversations who used to occur on blogs have shifted to Twitter. Actually, most of the blogs listed above I found\u00c2\u00a0through Twitter.
