What does your name mean and why did your parents choose it for you?

I was named for Ezra Jack Keats, a Jewish writer who wrote children books featuring black children. Ezra is a book in the Bible. I've heard he is attributed to have pulled together the first 5 books of the Bible. <\/p>\n

I was also named for Sesshu Toyo, a Buddhist monk whose artistic skill was so great he was allowed by his abbot to go to China and learn there. He brought the long scroll style of painting back to Japan.<\/p>\n
